- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbly and fragrant.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.
- Toss the shrimp into the skillet, seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Once the shrimp is cooked, add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook, stirring gently, for another 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice all over the dish and stir to combine.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
