Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Mix the milk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the crumbled sausage and optional ingredients like cheese and green onions.
- Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with the batter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
