Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the milk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the crumbled sausage and optional ingredients like cheese and green onions.
  6. Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with the batter.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
