Description

Rich and chewy blondies combining sweet and salty flavors with crunchy pretzels and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pretzels, chopped
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter, then add the brown sugar and mix until combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped pretzels and half of the salted caramel sauce.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle extra pretzels and sea salt over the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Best enjoyed with vanilla ice cream and additional salted caramel sauce drizzled on top.
