Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it turns a golden brown color, stirring continuously to prevent burning.
- Once melted, add the butter and stir until fully combined.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream while continuing to stir (be cautious as the mixture will bubble).
- Add the sea salt and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Pour the caramel into silicone molds or a lined baking dish and let it set in the refrigerator until firm. Cut into small squares or shapes and dip in melted chocolate if desired.
