Description

A delightful and easy dish that brings the rich flavors of salami and earthy mushrooms together on a crispy crust, all cooked in one skillet.


Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pizza crust
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 ounces salami, sliced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until they are soft and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the mushrooms from the skillet and set them aside. Place the pizza crust in the skillet and spread marinara sauce evenly on top.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by salami slices and sautéed mushrooms. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil if desired, then slice the pizza into wedges and serve warm.

Notes

For a crispier crust, pre-bake the crust for a few minutes before adding toppings. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
