Description

A delightful dish combining tender chicken, colorful vegetables, and chewy lo mein noodles in a savory sauce, perfect for busy weeknight meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, broccoli)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken slices and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and mixed vegetables, stir-frying until tender.
  4. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir to combine.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in soy sauce for 15-30 minutes before cooking. Feel free to substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu.
