Description

Learn how to make delicious homemade pizza dough from scratch, perfect for any pizza toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix in the olive oil and salt into the frothy yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, stirring until a dough forms.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough, roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

Notes

For best results, allow the dough to rest in the fridge for 24 hours for enhanced flavor and texture.
