Description

A comforting baked casserole that brings the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak into a hearty dish, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (like penne or rigatoni)
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Ensure all ingredients are ready and chopped to speed up the process.
  2. Brown the ground beef and smoked sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until the meat is browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Combine the meat mixture with the cooked pasta, cream of mushroom soup, and beef broth in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spread it out evenly, and top with shredded provolone cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  7. Serve hot after letting it cool for a few minutes. Enjoy!

Notes

Use high-quality cheese for the best melting results. You can customize with additional vegetables or a spicy kick.
