Delicious Philly Cheesesteak Bowls loaded with tender steak, sautéed peppers, onions, and gooey cheese, perfect for a low-carb dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup provolone or mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes or rice, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak thinly against the grain.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sear the steak with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove the steak and add onions and bell peppers to the skillet, sauté for 4-5 minutes, then add minced garlic for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Divide the base into bowls, top with steak and vegetables, sprinkle cheese, and broil for 1-2 minutes if desired.
  5. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Use quality meat for the best flavor, and don’t overcrowd the pan while cooking the steak.
