A delightful twist on traditional hummus, blending classic flavors with the aromatic freshness of pesto for a creamy, healthy dip.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup pesto
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, pesto, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Blend the mixture until smooth. If the hummus is too thick, gradually add water until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning with more salt or lemon juice if necessary.
  4. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and enjoy it with pita chips or fresh vegetables.

Notes

For a creamier texture, use soaked dried chickpeas instead of canned. Feel free to experiment with different types of pesto.
