Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup coconut cream
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preparation: Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Mixing: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add bubbly yeast mixture, coconut milk, and melted butter. Stir until smooth dough forms.
- Kneading: Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Rising: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and allow to rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Shaping: Punch down the risen dough and divide into small balls. Arrange in a greased baking dish.
- Coconut Mixture: Mix coconut cream with shredded coconut and pour over the buns.
- Baking: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake buns for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Serving: Serve warm with a cup of tea or coffee.
