- 8 Oreo cookies
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Whipped cream and chocolate syrup, for topping
- Extra Oreo cookies for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Begin by placing the Oreo cookies into a thick freezer bag. Using a rolling pin, gently pound the cookies until they are crushed into small pieces.
- Pour the whole milk into a blender. Next, add the vanilla ice cream along with the crushed Oreo cookies. If using vanilla extract, add that in as well. Pulse the mixture a few times.
- Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth and creamy. If the milkshake seems too thick, add more milk until you reach your desired consistency.
- Pour the milkshake into two tall glasses. Top with whipped cream, drizzle chocolate syrup over it, and garnish with an Oreo cookie on top. Serve immediately with a straw and a spoon.
Notes
For an even richer flavor, use chocolate ice cream. You can also substitute whole milk with low-fat or almond milk.
