Description

A delightful Nutella-filled pastry shaped like a star wreath, perfect for any festive gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 egg (beaten for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Optional: sliced almonds or hazelnuts (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into a large star shape.
  3. Spread the Nutella evenly over the center of the star, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Cut slits towards the center from the tips of the star.
  5. Fold the tips of the star over the Nutella and twist them to create a wreath shape.
  6. Brush the entire wreath with the beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and topping with almonds or hazelnuts.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. For longer storage, refrigerate but expect some loss of flakiness.
