- 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 cup Nutella
- 1 egg (beaten for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Optional: sliced almonds or hazelnuts (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into a large star shape.
- Spread the Nutella evenly over the center of the star, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Cut slits towards the center from the tips of the star.
- Fold the tips of the star over the Nutella and twist them to create a wreath shape.
- Brush the entire wreath with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
- Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and topping with almonds or hazelnuts.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. For longer storage, refrigerate but expect some loss of flakiness.
