Description

A delightful twist on traditional pizza combining earthy mushrooms and peppery arugula on a crispy crust, cooked in one pan.


Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups arugula
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough and place it over the mushrooms in the skillet.
  4. Spread marinara sauce over the dough and top with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Cover the skillet and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes until dough is cooked and cheese is melted.
  6. Add arugula on top in the last few minutes and cover again until wilted.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or oven to maintain crispness.
