Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Sprinkles or colored sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolk and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms. Roll the dough into small balls and place on a cookie sheet, flattening slightly.
  4. Decorate with sprinkles or colored sugar and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  5. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
