Elegant bite-sized portions of classic Beef Wellington, perfect for gatherings and parties.


Ingredients

Scale
  • Beef tenderloin
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Dijon mustard
  • Mushrooms (Cremini or shiitake)
  • Puff pastry
  • Egg wash (egg and water)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the beef tenderloin with salt and pepper, sear in a hot pan with olive oil until browned.
  3. Brush the seared beef with Dijon mustard and prepare the mushroom duxelles by sautéing finely chopped mushrooms until moisture evaporates.
  4. Roll out puff pastry, cut into squares, and place mushroom duxelles and seared beef on top. Fold and seal the pastry.
  5. Brush the tops with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge. Freeze unbaked for later use.
