- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup caramel candies
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Sea salt (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish thoroughly.
- Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour and cocoa powder.
- Press the dough into the prepared baking dish and bake for about 20 minutes until lightly golden.
- Melt the caramel candies and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Pour over the baked crust.
- Melt the chocolate chips and heavy cream over low heat, stirring in the vanilla extract. Pour over the caramel layer and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
