Description

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut it into cubes.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, chili paste, maple syrup, lime juice, salt, and pepper, then pour over the tofu and stir to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Press tofu thoroughly for best texture and use fresh garlic for maximum flavor.
