Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add sugar, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
