A delicious burger featuring juicy beef patties topped with crispy bacon, sweet maple bourbon BBQ sauce, and caramelized onions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 strips of bacon
- 1/2 cup maple bourbon BBQ sauce
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce and tomato for garnish
Instructions

- Caramelize the onions by melting butter in the same skillet and adding the sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Form the ground beef into burger patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill or pan-fry the burgers to your desired doneness, brushing with the maple bourbon BBQ sauce during the last few minutes of cooking.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burger by placing a patty on each bun, topping with bacon, caramelized onions, and any additional garnishes like lettuce and tomato.
Notes
For juicier burgers, use ground beef with a higher fat content (80/20). You can prep the patties ahead of time and store them in the fridge for up to 24 hours before cooking.
