Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients. Mince the garlic and slice the green onions. Cook your rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Drain excess fat, then add garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Serve the beef mixture over bowls of cooked rice, garnished with sliced green onions. Add toppings like sesame seeds or pickled vegetables if desired.
