Description
A delicious fusion of Korean flavors and the casual appeal of tacos, featuring juicy beef steak and fresh veggies.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Taco-sized tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 carrot, julienned
- Sliced green onions
- Kimchi (optional)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, and ginger. Marinate the beef steak for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated steak for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
- Remove the cooked steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly.
- Warm the tortillas in a pan or microwave. Assemble tacos by adding sliced beef, shredded cabbage, carrot, and green onions to each tortilla. Top with kimchi and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use corn tortillas. Letting the steak marinate for up to 2 hours enhances the flavor.
