Description

A delicious fusion of Korean flavors and the casual appeal of tacos, featuring juicy beef steak and fresh veggies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Taco-sized tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • Sliced green onions
  • Kimchi (optional)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, and ginger. Marinate the beef steak for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated steak for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
  3. Remove the cooked steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a pan or microwave. Assemble tacos by adding sliced beef, shredded cabbage, carrot, and green onions to each tortilla. Top with kimchi and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use corn tortillas. Letting the steak marinate for up to 2 hours enhances the flavor.
