Description

A delicious dish blending seasoned meat and vegetables wrapped in tender cabbage leaves, perfect for a low-carb lifestyle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup cauliflower rice
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Remove the core of the cabbage and place it in boiling water for about 5 minutes until leaves are pliable. Remove and let cool.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until soft. In a bowl, mix ground beef or turkey, cauliflower rice, sautéed onion, garlic, egg, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Peel off individual cabbage leaves. Place about 1/4 cup of the meat mixture in the center of each leaf, fold in the sides, and roll tightly.
  4. In a baking dish, spread a layer of diced tomatoes and tomato sauce, place rolls seam-side down, and pour remaining sauce over. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

These stuffed cabbages can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days, or frozen for up to 3 months.
