- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce (low-carb if desired)
- 1 cup additional mozzarella cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Form the meat mixture into meatballs (about the size of a golf ball) and place them in a greased casserole dish.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs.
- Sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked and the cheese is golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with zoodles or a fresh green salad. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen in individual portions.
