Description
A delightful keto-friendly dish that combines crispy bacon with tender chicken thighs in a rich garlic cream sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs, skin-on
- 4 slices of bacon
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set it aside, keeping the drippings in the skillet.
- Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, add olive oil if needed and sear the chicken thighs skin-side down until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Flip and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and add Italian seasoning. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly, then crumble the cooked bacon into the sauce. Return chicken thighs to the pan and heat for another 2-3 minutes to meld flavors together. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Opt for bone-in, skin-on chicken for maximum flavor and juiciness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
