Description

A delightful dessert combining fresh apples and warm spices, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups chopped apples
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, oil, and eggs until well blended. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples and nuts (if using).
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve at room temperature with powdered sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Can be stored at room temperature for three days or refrigerated for about a week.
