Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 large jalapeños, diced (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup green onions, sliced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing the baking dish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, diced jalapeños, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined, ensuring a smooth texture.
- If desired, fold in the green onions for added flavor. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Allow to cool slightly, then cut into squares. Serve warm as delicious appetizers.
