Description

Deliciously creamy and cheesy squares with a spicy kick, perfect for appetizers or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large jalapeños, diced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup green onions, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing the baking dish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, diced jalapeños, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined, ensuring a smooth texture.
  3. If desired, fold in the green onions for added flavor. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  4. Allow to cool slightly, then cut into squares. Serve warm as delicious appetizers.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
