Description

A hearty dish featuring savory Italian sausage, sweet peppers, and onions, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • Italian sausage
  • Bell peppers (red, green, yellow)
  • Onions
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Italian seasoning
  • Buns (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes until soft.
  3. Remove vegetables from the skillet and set aside. Add Italian sausage links to the same skillet and cook for 10-12 minutes until browned.
  4. Slice cooked sausages into bite-sized pieces and return to the skillet with vegetables. Season with garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well and heat for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve in buns or on a plate as desired.

Notes

For extra kick, add crushed red pepper flakes. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months.
