- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas with the melted butter until well mixed.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and beaten egg. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually add the sugar, all-purpose flour, and rolled oats, stirring until just combined. If desired, fold in chopped walnuts at this stage.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.
