  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas with the melted butter until well mixed.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and beaten egg. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Gradually add the sugar, all-purpose flour, and rolled oats, stirring until just combined. If desired, fold in chopped walnuts at this stage.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
