- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups corn syrup
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the corn syrup until combined. In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, then add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until set and golden brown around the edges.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares for serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally topped with powdered sugar or accompanied by ice cream.
