Description
A comforting blend of grilled cheese and burrito, packed with savory flavors and customizable ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Ground Beef (Can substitute with turkey or plant-based)
- 1 packet Taco Seasoning
- 2 cups Cooked White Rice
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 cup Nacho Cheese Sauce
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 tablespoon Chipotle Sauce
- 4 large Flour Tortillas
- 2 tablespoons Butter or Oil
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, roughly 5-7 minutes.
- Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat if necessary. Stir in the taco seasoning and cooked white rice. Mix thoroughly and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Lay out each flour tortilla on a clean surface. In the center of each tortilla, spread a layer of sour cream, followed by a generous scoop of the beef and rice mixture. Drizzle some nacho cheese sauce on top, then sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over everything. Add a dash of chipotle sauce based on your spice preference.
- Wrap the burrito by folding the sides in, then rolling from the bottom up. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the burritos seam-side down in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side until crispy and the cheese is melted.
Notes
For added flavor, consider sautéing onions and peppers alongside the ground beef. Ensure not to overfill the burritos to avoid leakage while cooking.
