Ingredients

  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch square baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until cohesive, then press into the bottom of the pan to create a crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  4. In a saucepan, bring heavy cream to a simmer, then remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips, espresso powder, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  5. Pour the chocolate filling over the cooled crust, spread evenly, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set. Cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Allow the tart to chill fully for best results. Use a sharp knife dipped in hot water for clean cuts.
