Tender and flavorful Instant Pot Short Ribs, perfect for a cozy family dinner or special gathering, cooked to perfection in less time.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the short ribs generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Set the Instant Pot to ‘Sauté’ and add the olive oil. Brown the short ribs on all sides (about 4-5 minutes), then remove and set aside.
  3. Add onion and garlic to the pot, sauté until soft (2-3 minutes). Stir in broth, wine, soy sauce, tomato paste, and paprika.
  4. Return short ribs to the pot, close the lid, set to ‘Manual’, and cook for 45 minutes with a 10-minute natural release.
  5. Remove short ribs, and to thicken the sauce, use ‘Sauté’ to reduce the liquid. Serve garnished with parsley.

Notes

For best flavor, look for well-marbled short ribs. You can substitute some beef broth with more red wine for depth of flavor.
