A delightful dessert combining rich chocolate flavors with an indulgent sauce that seeps through a moist cake, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Gradually add boiling water to the mixture, stirring continuously. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Pour hot fudge sauce over the warm cake.
  5. Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality cocoa powder and serve immediately after baking. You can experiment with flavors by adding chocolate chips or experimenting with different sauces.
