- 2 cups grated potatoes
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Grate the potatoes and soak them in cold water for about 30 minutes. Drain and dry thoroughly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, chopped bacon, flour, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small tot shapes, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the tater tots in batches for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towels. Serve hot.
Notes
Serve with dipping sauces like ranch or ketchup. For a healthier option, bake at 425°F (220°C).
