Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Toppings of your choice (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, olives)
Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water and add yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Once mixed, add the foamy yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the dough into a rectangle that fits your baking sheet, then place it on a greased pan.
- Spread pizza sauce over the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan on top, then add your desired toppings.
- Bake the pizza for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Let the pizza cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Store any leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
