Description

Delicious homemade peppermint treats that are perfect for satisfying a sweet tooth and sharing with loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup dark chocolate (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon shortening (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar and cocoa. Add milk and peppermint extract, and stir until a dough forms.
  2. Roll the dough into small balls and flatten them into patties.
  3. Place the patties in the freezer for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt dark chocolate and shortening together until smooth.
  5. Dip each patty into the chocolate coating and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  6. Let the chocolate set, then enjoy!

Notes

Ensure the dough is firm enough before rolling; add more powdered sugar if too sticky. Chill patties well before dipping to prevent them from falling apart.
