Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon black tea leaves
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger, sliced
  • 12 cinnamon sticks
  • 56 green cardamom pods, crushed
  • 1 cup milk (or non-dairy milk)
  • Sweetener to taste (sugar, honey, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the black tea leaves, sliced ginger, cinnamon sticks, and crushed cardamom pods to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
