Description
A warm, comforting cup of homemade chai tea latte with rich flavors of aromatic spices and tea.
Ingredients

- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon black tea leaves
- 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger, sliced
- 1–2 cinnamon sticks
- 5–6 green cardamom pods, crushed
- 1 cup milk (or non-dairy milk)
- Sweetener to taste (sugar, honey, etc.)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the black tea leaves, sliced ginger, cinnamon sticks, and crushed cardamom pods to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture into another pot to remove the spices, then add your milk to the chai concentrate. Heat until warmed through, sweetening to taste. Serve hot and enjoy your homemade chai tea latte.
Notes
Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick for garnish.
