Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 45 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 1/4 cup milk (optional, for creaminess)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the onion is soft.
  4. In the greased baking dish, layer the cooked beef mixture, followed by thinly sliced potatoes, seasoning with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika. Sprinkle cheeses over the potatoes and pour broth around the edges.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

Customize with extra veggies or spices for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze individual portions for longer storage.
