Description

A hearty casserole that combines the classic flavors of chicken Parmesan, featuring layers of tender chicken and rich marinara.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a casserole dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the greased casserole dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle over the chicken mixture and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, use rotisserie chicken or seasoned chicken. To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
