Ingredients

- 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup pitted dates
- 1/4 cup nut butter (like almond or peanut)
- 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut milk (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix almond flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and salt until combined.
- Press the dough into the prepared pan and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Blend the pitted dates and nut butter until smooth and spread over the baked base.
- Melt dairy-free chocolate chips and coconut milk, then pour over the date layer.
- Refrigerate for at least one hour until set, then cut into bars and serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. They can also be frozen for longer storage.
