  • Author: lydia

Description

Delight your family and friends this Halloween with a fun twist on classic hard-boiled eggs, featuring a spooky spiderweb design and a creamy filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • Black food coloring
  • Olives for decoration
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by hard boiling the eggs. Place them in a pot, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, let them cook for about 9 minutes, then remove from heat and cool them under cold running water. After cooling, peel the eggs carefully.
  2. Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and gently remove the yolks, placing them in a mixing bowl. Add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper, and mix until smooth.
  3. Fill the egg white halves with the yolk mixture using a spoon or piping bag for a neat presentation.
  4. Drizzle black food coloring over the filled eggs and use a toothpick to swirl it into a web-like pattern. Top each egg with a slice of olive and chill in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

These eggs can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge until serving. For a spicy kick, consider adding cayenne pepper to the filling.
