Description

This Halloween Poke Cake combines the warm flavors of pumpkin with vibrant Halloween spirit, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 1 package of instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of whipped topping
  • Food coloring (orange and purple)
  • Candy corn and other Halloween-themed decorations

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined. Stir in the pumpkin puree.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely, then poke holes in it using the end of a wooden spoon.
  5. Whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until thickened, and pour it over the poked cake.
  6. Mix food coloring into the whipped topping and spread it over the cake. Decorate with candy corn and other Halloween-themed decorations.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Cake can be frozen for up to 3 months without toppings.
