Description

A vibrant and flavorful dish that brings a taste of India to your table with marinated chicken grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs chicken pieces (bone-in, skinless)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons tandoori spice mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the yogurt, lemon juice, vegetable oil, tandoori spice mix, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Coat the chicken pieces thoroughly in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, shaking off excess, and grill for 6-8 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  5. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped cilantro.

Notes

For best results, marinate overnight. Serve with naan, rice, or a refreshing yogurt dip.
