A classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring crispy, buttery bread and gooey, melted cheese, perfect for any time of day.

- 8 slices of bread
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 8 slices of cheese
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place 4 slices of bread in the skillet, buttered side down. Add a slice of cheese on top of each bread slice in the skillet. Top each cheese slice with another slice of bread, buttered side facing up.
- Cook for 2-4 minutes until the bottom bread slice is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt. Carefully flip each sandwich using a spatula. Cook for an additional 2-4 minutes until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is completely melted.
- Remove the grilled cheese sandwiches from the skillet. Repeat steps 3-4 with the remaining ingredients to make the other sandwiches. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious grilled cheese sandwiches!
Notes
Best enjoyed hot with a side of tomato soup or a salad. For variations, consider adding tomatoes, bacon, or avocado.
