Description

A classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring crispy, buttery bread and gooey, melted cheese, perfect for any time of day.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 8 slices of cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place 4 slices of bread in the skillet, buttered side down. Add a slice of cheese on top of each bread slice in the skillet. Top each cheese slice with another slice of bread, buttered side facing up.
  4. Cook for 2-4 minutes until the bottom bread slice is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt. Carefully flip each sandwich using a spatula. Cook for an additional 2-4 minutes until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is completely melted.
  5. Remove the grilled cheese sandwiches from the skillet. Repeat steps 3-4 with the remaining ingredients to make the other sandwiches. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious grilled cheese sandwiches!

Notes

Best enjoyed hot with a side of tomato soup or a salad. For variations, consider adding tomatoes, bacon, or avocado.
