Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup mashed strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the glaze:
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, mashed strawberries, and vanilla extract until smoothly combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
