Description
A fun twist on classic Rice Krispie treats with the warm spices of gingerbread, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients

- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup crushed gingerbread cookies (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
- Stir in the spices and molasses until well combined.
- Remove from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
- If using, fold in the crushed gingerbread cookies.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
These treats can be served in squares or bars and pair well with hot chocolate or tea. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
