- 24 large button mushrooms
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Black olives for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems, chopping them finely for the filling.
- In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, chopped mushroom stems, garlic, parsley, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper until creamy.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the cheese mixture, filling them generously, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and tops are golden brown. Garnish with black olives as eyeballs if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to the filling. You can use vegan cream cheese for a dairy-free version.
