Description

A comforting cheesy potato casserole that’s perfect for gatherings and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs frozen hash browns
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup corn flakes
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, melted butter, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. In a separate bowl, crush the corn flakes and mix them with a little melted butter. Sprinkle the corn flakes evenly over the potato mixture.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are heated through. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure to use frozen hash browns for the best texture. Customize the cheese or add spices for extra flavor.
