Description

Fudgy Brookies combine rich brownies and chewy chocolate chip cookies into an irresistible treat perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Blend this dry mixture into the creamed mixture and gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over it.
  7. Top with the remaining brownie batter and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Cool before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

For best results, allow brookies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing.
